1. Introduction

OtterClawd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the OtterClawd.ai platform — an AI chief of staff for busy executives and founders. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name and email address via Google OAuth. We do not store your Google password.

2.2 Google Workspace Data

With your explicit consent, we access the following Google services on your behalf:

  • Gmail — Read, search, and send emails so your AI assistant can manage your inbox
  • Calendar — View and manage calendar events for scheduling assistance

You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings or from the OtterClawd Integrations page.

2.3 Messaging Data

Messages you send via Telegram or WhatsApp to your AI assistant are processed to generate responses. We store conversation history to provide context for your assistant. Message drafts sent on your behalf (e.g., WhatsApp messages to contacts) are logged for your records.

2.4 Memory & Preferences

Your AI assistant stores facts you share (preferences, contacts, travel details) in an encrypted memory system so it can serve you better over time. You can view, edit, or delete any stored memory from the Memory page.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the AI assistant service
  • To manage your inbox, calendar, reminders, and travel on your behalf
  • To send messages and emails with your explicit approval
  • To process billing and credit usage
  • To send you service notifications (daily briefings, reminders)

We never sell your personal data. We never use your data to train AI models. Your data is used solely to provide the OtterClawd service to you.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS infrastructure. Sensitive data (OAuth tokens, passport numbers, personal identifiers) is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. All connections use HTTPS/TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate OtterClawd:

  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI language model for your assistant
  • Google APIs — Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets access
  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Supabase — Database hosting
  • Vercel — Application hosting
  • Telegram Bot API — Messaging channel
  • WhatsApp (Baileys) — Messaging channel

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Conversation history is kept to provide context to your AI assistant. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can delete specific memories, reminders, or conversation history at any time from the dashboard.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we store about you
  • Correct or update your personal information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Revoke Google access at any time
  • Disconnect messaging channels (Telegram, WhatsApp)
  • Export your data
